Under cloudy skies John the ice sculptor carved a groundhog in Duane Park. The park is the 2nd oldest in New York dating from land set aside during colonial times. The annual ice carving event delighted both kids and parents in Tribeca. Traditionally if a Groundhog see's it's own shadow then it will return to it's burrow and winner will continue for six more weeks. However if it doesn't see it's shadow then that means spring will come early and no he didn't see his shadow
