Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer visited Kyiv on 16 January, where he was joined by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to observe the presentation of several drones Ukraine has built for use in its war with Russia.

The two countries are collaborating on the development of a carrier platform for first-person-view (FPV) drones, according to Ukrainian sources.

Ukrainian troops have been utilising a variety of aerial, naval, and ground drones for reconnaissance, combat, and other operations.

Defence Minister Rustem Umerov reported that more than 200,000 domestically-produced drones had been delivered to front-line units by the end of 2024.
