These images and video show the aftermath of missile strikes that killed 13 people and injured 113 others, including a 13-year-old girl in Zaporizhia, Ukraine on Wednesday afternoon (08January2024).

Due to the large number of injured, emergency responders transported the victims to ambulances, police and rescue vehicles, and civilian vehicles for further hospitalisation in city hospitals, according to officials.
In a statement later on Wednesday, President Zelensky said of the attack, "there is nothing more cruel than launching aerial bombs on a city, knowing that ordinary civilians will suffer".

A day of mourning has been declared in Zaporizhia.
