The Holly Man gathers with spectators and other performers in elaborate costumes during the celebrations. Theatre company, Lions Part perform and process on Bankside, London, adjacent to the river Thames with the character Holly Man from pagan folklore. The ceremony celebrates Twelfth Night and an end to Winter festivities and an acceptance of the New year and an upcoming return to work
