The Trafalgar-class nuclear submarine, HMS Triumph made its final journey today, as she departed HM Naval Base Clyde for the last time in her 3 decade long career.

She sliped out onto the Clyde on a particularly cold morning and was cheered on by members of the Naval Base. In attendance was the head of the Submarine Service, Commodore Paul Dunn OBE, who gave his final salute to the boat crew as she left the dock to make her journey to HM Naval Base Devonport in Plymouth.

Launched in Feb 1991, the T-Boat, which is the last of her class, has seen operational deployments all over the globe, often submerged for extremely long periods.
