Headline: Christmas tradition in Stralsund
Caption:
The 90-year-old traditional sailing ship "Gorch Fock 1" is decorated with a string of lights in the harbor. The training ship, which was built for the German navy, was launched in Hamburg in 1933 and went to the Soviet Union as reparations after the end of the war. In 2003, the "Tall Ship Friends" association acquired the ship from the Ukraine and had it brought to Stralsund. The string of lights with a length of 131 meters and 150 lights has been illuminating the "Gorch Fock 1" every day since 11 December.
