At first light activists hang a banner from a neighbouring roof saying UAV Engines of Genocide and throw a red smoke flare towards a watching UAV security guard. Two actionists from Palestine Action climb on to the roof of a neighbouring business to damage the roof and windows of UAV Engines and to shut them down for a third time in four days. The company owned by Israeli weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems makes engines for the Hermes series of drones used by the Israeli military in Gaza and elsewhere. Palestine Action are determined to relentlessly target Elbit and their partner companies by regular protest and direct action and make business for them in the UK impossible. The UK government recently announced the cancellation of a £2.1billion contract with Elbit for their Watchkeeper drone.
