Boatmen rest on their anchored boats along the banks of the Buriganga River in Dhaka’s Sadarghat area. From dawn to dusk, they navigate the river, and at day’s end, they sleep on their boats, which also serve as their homes. Without separate residences in the city, their lives are deeply intertwined with the river, reflecting a unique lifestyle shaped by its rhythms and demands.
