Lebanese civil defense personnel are seen engulfed in smoke as they search for possible survivors among the rubble of an eight-story building that was demolished in a massive Israeli dawn air strike in the Basta neighborhood in Beirut that demolished an eight-story building. At least 11 people were killed and 63 other wounded according to ministry of health. The strike came just after 4 a.m., when it jolted Beirut awake with thundering explosions that left much of the city enveloped in acrid smoke. It was the third strike in the city this week, and part of a wave of amped-up Israeli military activity across the country in recent days.
