Local Conservative MP Steve Barclay offers his support to farmers in his constituency as Fenland farmers meet in a tractor shed on Riverside Farm to discuss joining with other farmers in the protest in London on November 9th. Farmer Tim Taylor has started up a campaign group for farmers to rival the toothless National Farmers Union, His group aims to bring rural folk together and preserve their way of life. They talk of maybe having to take extreme measures like blocking roads and ports and not delivering goods to supermarkets following the Labour Party decision to change inheritance tax liability to farms in the recent budget.
