Protesters march across the City of London with flags and an inflatable boat, behind a banner saying ‘Insure Our Survival’. Extinction Rebellion (XR) walk around the City of London and stop and demonstrate outside the offices of insurance companies that are continuing to insure fossil fuel companies despite the warnings of a climate crisis from scientists. The protesters believe if the insurance companies stopped their involvement with these companies they would struggle to continue to mine. The action is the first of a week long protest directed specifically at the insurance industry
