What was to be a pro-Palestinian counter-protest to a pro-Israel demonstration at Dam Square turned into a slow march through Amsterdam. Palestinian activists and supporters clashed with Dutch police for several hours as they slowly moved through the city streets. Their message was both against Israel actions since October 7, 2023, and the broader actions of Israel since 1948.
