It started long before October 7th in solidarity with Palestine and Lebanon took place in Berlin, Germany. After the demonstration route was shortened in advance, participants tried to get past the police at Kottbusser Damm to Sonnenallee. This led to an escalation between police and demonstrators, with bottles and pyrotechnics flying and pepper spray being used. After the assembly was dispersed, police groups stormed into the crowd to disperse them and take individuals into custody
