NYPD responded to a 911 call for a person shot at East 182 Street and Mapes Avenue. Upon arrival, New York City Police Department officers observed a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded and pronounced the male dead on scene. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
