A resident on Nong Khai walks through inundated streets in Nong Khai city, Thailand which were flooded as a result of the Mekong river overflowing on September 14th, 2024. Several other provinces in northern Thailand have also been impacted by the worst flooding seen in decades, caused by Super Typhoon Yagi's landfall onto mainland Southeast Asia. Over 40 people have died in Thailand as a result of flood related causes since August 2024 and tens of thousands have been affected.
