Police officers guard the entrance to the Holiday Inn during the protest. After threats of a British Nationalist protest outside the Holiday Inn in Crawley, counter protesters mobilised and gathered in their hundreds in an anti-fascist demonstration outside. Police officers managed to keep the one nationalist who did turn up separated from those disagreeing with him by forming a circular cordon around him.
