Around 300 Fine Gael (FG) members attended a selection convention this evening at The Parkway Hotel, Dunmanway, to select a candidate to be put forward for the party at the next general election. In the end, there was no election as the party is standing two candidates, namely Sen. Tim Lombard and Cllr. Noel O'Donovan. John Paul Phelan TD for Carlow-Kilkenny was chair for the convention.
