Headline: Heavy Flooding Hits Bangladesh

As the water level rises during the flood, the electric cables come very close. Since boats are the only means of transportation during floods, any major accident is likely to occur during transportation. Dharla river in Kurigram district of Bangladesh has flooded all the houses and roads in the low-lying areas as the water has crossed the danger level. Nearly two lakh people of 400 hundred villages of 55 unions of 9 upazilas of Kurigram district are living a miserable life due to floods for two weeks. Floods have occurred in northern Bangladesh as water levels rise in rivers due to heavy rains upstream. People living in these houses have taken shelter in their relatives' houses or are making temporary shelters on high streets.
