Traders line up their livestock in motor-driven narrow boats and take them to the cow market on the Buriganga river in Dhaka to sell on the occasion of the holy Eid al-Adha. Before Eid, cattle are supplied by boat as a means of easy transportation to riverside cow markets. Millions of animals are sacrificed in Bangladesh during the holy Eid al-Adha. Thousands of cows and goats are sold every day in every animal market throughout the country.
