In a sea of thousands of spring flowers, florist Astrid Lorenz enjoys a single dark blue pansy among many yellow ones at the Grünert nursery. Thanks to the excessively warm weather in recent weeks, the early bloomers in the nursery's greenhouses can be harvested around 14 days earlier without additional heating costs. In addition to primroses, the colorful early bloomers also include horned violets, morning glories, tulips, spring snowflakes, anemones and spring daisies.
