Headline: HMS Prince of Wales Makes Delayed Departure From Portsmouth

These images show the HMS Prince of Wales leaving Portsmouth Harbour as she deploys on Exercise Steadfast Defender on Monday 12 February 2024. The Royal Navy's Aircraft Carrier left its homeport in Portsmouth to take part in the exercise, working with NATO Partners off the coast of Norway.
The vessel left Portsmouth a day late after postponing its scheduled departure at the last minute.
The Royal Navy carrier, which was due to sail on Sunday, is replacing HMS Queen Elizabeth on the NATO exercise after it broke down a week earlier.
Exercise Steadfast Defender is the largest NATO exercise since the Cold War.
Despite the delay to its departure, cheering crowds saw off the carrier as it left for Norway.
