In the Holosiivskyi district, vehicles and a car repair shop caught fire. An 18-story building in the district also caught fire, resulting in at least 19 injuries, including a pregnant woman. Approximately 60 residents were successfully evacuated.
Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported that four individuals were found deceased under the rubble of the damaged building in Holosiivskyi district. Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that three people were injured in the Dniprovskyi district, with two requiring hospitalisation.
In response to the attacks, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a statement: “Another mass attack against our state. Six regions were hit by the enemy. All our services are currently working to overcome the effects of this terror.”
Ukraine's air defense also successfully intercepted nearly 20 Russian missiles over the capital, according to the Kyiv city military administration.
Russian forces reportedly deployed Kh-101, Kh-555, and Kh-55 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers based in Russian territory. The missiles struck Kyiv in multiple waves from various directions.
