Tuesday, January 9, 2024 in Chicago at approx. 10:16 pm CT, a 43-year-old male employee of a convenience store was in an alley on the 300 block of E. 79th St. when a male suspect attempted to rob him, the male suspect shot the male employee in the head and he was pronounced dead. No suspects are in custody.
