Japanese girls take part in the Coming of Age Day ceremony at Meiji Jingu Shrine. The Coming of Age Day (Seiji no hi) is a holiday to congratulate and encourage all those who have become adults (18 years old) in Japan. The annual celebration is held on the second Monday of January.
