After Friday prayers at Baitul Mukarram Mosque in Dhaka, 20-30 people gathered together and raised slogans against the upcoming national general elections on January 7 and demanded elections under a caretaker government. Meanwhile, the police arrested 3 people and took them away. The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has called for a 48-hour strike on January 6 and 7 ahead of the election.
