Headline: RAW VIDEO: Northern Queensland Inundated With 'Worst Ever' Flooding

Caption: This video footage shows rescue operations in Cairns, in Northern Queensland, Australia on Monday (18 December 2023) after tropical cyclone Jasper dumped a year's worth of rain on some areas. Authorities expect the flooding to be the worst recorded in the state - with intense rainfall continuing into Tuesday. Locals have even reported seeing crocodiles in floodwater. Hundreds of people have been rescued as the city of Cairns received more than 2m (7ft) of rainfall. Queensland Premier Steven Miles told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) the storm was "about the worst I can remember. "I have been talking to Cairns locals on the ground... and they say they have never seen anything like it," he revealed. "For someone from far north Queensland to say that, that is really saying something."
