Palestinian Hazem Adel Muhanna had collected items, including old banknotes and rare antiques, for over 40 years. Muhanna's house and private museum were destroyed by Israeli air raids during a military offensive on the Gaza Strip which started on 9th May and continued until 13th May, amid retaliatory rocket fire launched from Gaza into Israel.
