Oleksandr Starukh, the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said in a Telegram post: "As of now, we know about 23 dead and 28 wounded. All civilians, our compatriots. Burn in hell, the damned rashists." Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky also addressed the attack, as well as others in the Mykolaiv, and Dnipropetrovsk Oblasts. He wrote on Telegram: “The terrorist state fires rockets at the civilian population in Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv Oblast, and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Hits the Ukrainian regions with multiple rocket launchers and drones. The occupiers fired 16 rockets in one morning in Zaporizhzhia and the district alone! Only complete terrorists can do this, who should have no place in the civilized world. The enemy rages and seeks revenge for our steadfastness and his failures. He cynically destroys peaceful Ukrainians, because he lost everything human a long time ago. Bloodthirsty scum! You will definitely answer. For every lost Ukrainian life!”
