In his own post about the tragic attack, President Zelenskyy wrote, “The occupiers fired rockets at the mall, where there were more than a thousand civilians. The mall is on fire, rescuers are fighting the fire, the number of victims is impossible to imagine. "No danger to the Russian army. No strategic value. Only the attempt of people to live a normal life, which so angers the occupiers. "Russia continues to place its powerlessness on ordinary citizens. It is useless to hope for adequacy and humanity on her part.” Kremenchuk’s mayor, Vitaly Maletsky, also wrote on Facebook: “The rocket strike on Kremenchuk came in a very crowded place, which is 100% nothing to do with military action. There are dead and injured. THE RUSSIANS WILL BURN IN HELL! Together with all relevant services, I am at the scene of the tragedy.” Officials from Ukraine's State Emergency Service said at least two people died and 20 were injured in the attack. The missile strike came the day after an apartment building in Kyiv’s top floors were destroyed by another Russian missile strike.
