The reason for the fire was not immediately established. One victim who was taken to hospital by ambulance and the fire was extinguished by 1 pm. The Mykolaiv region has been targeted by Russian airstrikes in recent days. It was threatened by Russian troops advancing from Kherson in the South in the early days of the war but Russian forces have subsequently pulled back to Kherson, where they maintain control.
