Headline: Footage Shows Devastation Around Mariupol's Azovstal Plant

It shows Russian Armed Forces’ engineering units carrying out demining in the area. Mariupol has been the scene of some of the most prolonged and fierce fighting since Russia invaded Ukraine in February. Defenders held out in the Azovstal plant for 82 days before they surrendered in mid-May on the orders of Ukraine’s military leaders. They are believed to have been detained in Russian controlled regions of Ukraine. Ukrainian government sources put the number of deaths in Mariupol in the tens of thousands - with a maternity hospital and theatre where refugees were sheltering among the buildings bombed during Russian troops’ attacks on the Southern port city - which has largely been left in ruins.
