Caption: A male grey seal who is being cared for by the RSPCA keeps himself cool by playing in a hose to stay cool during the start of the UK's hot weather. RSPCA staff have been working hard to keep the thousands of animals in their care across England and Wales cool during the heatwave this week. Seal Jupiter is at the charity’s Mallydams Wood Wildlife Centre, in Hastings, East Sussex, after arriving on 12 April having been rescued by the BDMLR from a beach in Deal, Kent. He was found alone with wounds and a nasty cough. He’s being treated for tapeworm and is recovering well so will be returned to the wild when he’s strong enough. He and his seal friends spent time in the outdoor pools being hosed down during the hot weather.
