Although these reindeer have been born white, they are not albino. A rare genetic mutation causes the fur to be striped of its pigment therefore causing the reindeer to have white coats. Some Scandinavian traditions believe spotting a white reindeer to be a sign of good luck, riches and eternal happiness. Date images taken 16/05/2021
