Caption: This stunning rainbow was captured over Loch Long in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, on Sunday (2 May). Photographer Luthers Volvo captured the scene with a drone at around 0700hrs, shooting from just outside a village called Arrochar. He says it wasn’t originally the shot he was aiming for. Luther explains: “I was using a drone, trying to take a pic to the west of the sun rising near Ben Lomond. Took loads but just couldn’t get height/light right. “I gave up, and just as I was bringing the drone back in I felt rain on the back of my neck. When I turned round, I saw that it was a snow flurry coming down Glen Croe (NOT Glencoe). That’s when I took a few pics. “Oddly enough, you’re looking down on an old MOD torpedo testing facility. You can see the two old jetties in the pic. It closed during the 80s and the site is now up for sale. If I won’t the EuroMillions, I’d build a hotel.”
