Caption: Permission to land! This graceful bird makes a picturesque landing on water in Finland. Photographer Erkko Badermann captured the scene this month (April ‘21) early morning in the Nuuksio National Park. He shot the Red Throated Diver from a hide on the side of a swamp. Errko explains: “The photo was taken early in the morning of April 23, 2021 in Nuuksio National Park, in the south of Finland. Hard snowing had just ended and there were still some snowflakes hovering in the air. I lay down in my hide on the edge of the swamp and waited for birds. Lucky for me the bird landed straight towards and I got this set of photos.”
