Headline: World’s Oldest Whiskey Sells For $137,500

Caption: FULL WORDS AND VIDEO AVAILABLE: INFO@COVERMG.COM AA whiskey believed to be the oldest in existence has sold for far more than its estimate. The Old Ingledew Whiskey, which carbon dating has evidenced as being produced between 1762-1802, sold for $137,500. Massachusetts-based auctioneers Skinner’s has estimated the lot between $20,000-40,000 in their Rare Spirits online auction, which concluded on 30 June. Skinner’s Rare Spirits expert, Joseph Hyman, remarks “The Old Ingledew Whiskey, bottled by Evans & Ragland, Lagrange GA, c. 1860s, is thought to be the only surviving bottle of a trio from the cellar of J.P. Morgan gifted in the 1940s to Washington power elite.”
