Headline: Amazing Photos Show Workers Cleaning Ice From 1,053 ft Bridge, Russia

Caption: Don’t look down! Working from home is not an option for the brave climbers tasked with clearing dangerous ice from the longest cable-stayed bridge in the world this week. Russky Bridge, which has a central span of 1,104 metres, links Russian city Vladivostok in Primorsky Krai, with Russky island. However, the bridge has been closed since freezing rain formed ice on the cables, which risks falling onto vehicles below. These jaw-dropping images were captured by drone photographer Sergey Shevchenko on 24 and 26 Nov. He explains: “In the photos, industrial climbers are cleaning the shrouds of the Russian Bridge from ice formed due to the recent freezing rain that hit the Primorsky Krai on the night of November 18-19.” Russky Bridge, which opened in July 2012, has a height of 320.9 meters (1,053 ft), and is estimated to have cost $1.1 billion USD.
