The new three-tier system is based on a colour code according to the intensity of the pandemic, dividing the nation's 20 regions into red (high-risk), orange (medium risk) and yellow (low risk) zones. The new system comes into effect on the 6th November and will be in place until the 3rd December. The Italian government has announced nationwide curfew at night, between 22:00pm and 05:00am until the 3rd December.
