The scenes were captured on Friday (27 Mar) evening in North Shields, in North East England. Humorously dubbed ‘South Shields vs North Shields’, it shows people on both banks of the town’s dock dancing away at the silent “isolation disco”. The event was organised by Smith's Dock residents Graham Moralee and Scott Miller. Graham explains: “At Smith's Dock in North Shields, me and my neighbour Scott Miller have started an isolation disco each night at 8:30pm. Organised through our Facebook residents group, we all dance to the same tune for five minutes at our windows and have a good old light disco.” The coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic has seen people locked down in isolation in their homes.
