Caption: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District has its mission assignment from FEMA for planning and site assessments of alternate care facilities in Arizona in response to COVID-19. The team is assisting the state with early planning, engineering and contingency response capabilities to expedite assessment and conversion of existing facilities to be ready to receive medical equipment/staff and in support of their identified health care needs. The team visited two warehouse facilities in Flagstaff March 29.
