Headline: World Record For The Highest Ever Altitude Scuba Dive

Caption: Polish diver Marcel Korkuś has set the world record for the highest ever altitude scuba dive. Taking place at Ojos del Salado in Argentina, on December 13, 2019, Korkuś completed the dive at an altitude of 6,395 meters above sea level, accompanied by Unsurprisingly Korkuś is the first person to dive at such an altitude – the dive was completely experimental as the planning tables for such dives ends at 3000 meters! The dive took place in the so-called basin (a natural water reservoir, which in terms of dimensions cannot be considered a lake). The ice was 1.3 meters thick and the water temperature was 3 degrees - it is thought that a human could not dive at a higher altitude! During the expedition, Marcel Korkuś was accompanied by three Argentinians – Ulises Kusnezov, Martin Alderete and Eduardo Salas. Next, Korkuś, in cooperation with Eversub, intends to explore the deepest sunken cave in the world.
