Caption: It is not often the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron is upstaged – but it happened recently when they flew in formation with ‘Doc’, a 1944 B-29 Superfortress four-engined heavy bomber. The team explained: “Prior to the California Capital Airshow, we had the honor and privilege of taking to the skies with "Doc", the B-29 Superfortress bomber. Delivered to the Army in 1944, Doc is one of two remaining B-29s that are capable of flying.” The California Capital Airshow was held over the weekend (5-6 Oct) at Sacramento, California.
