As I watched, this particular male would always come and hover in the same spot, so I aimed the camera and waited. On this particular occasion he gave me (and the other male hummingbird in the area) a full display of his feathers.’ Nikon D500 with Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR AF-S lens. 370mm focal length; 1/800 second; f/5.6; ISO 1,000.
