Headline: World’s Smallest Peaky Blinders Appear In Birmingham

Caption: A miniature version of the famous Garrison Tavern pub from popular TV show ‘Peaky Blinders’ has been created at Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham, ahead of the show’s 5th series premiere being held in Birmingham this week. Created by Master Model Builder Michelle Thompson at Birmingham’s Legoland Discovery Centre, the model depicts the show’s infamous pub setting, complete with secret gang headquarters and a pile of illicit cash on the table. The counting room even includes a chalkboard for tallying bets and a working, opening safe for keeping their money away from mischievous hands. The model, created from over 1043 pieces, includes 8 Lego Minifigures representing characters from the show. Notably this includes main character Thomas Shelby, who is featured driving a horse and cart which contains barrels covering up a secret supply of ammunition, akin to his character in the show. ‘As Brummies here at the attraction we’re big fans of the series, so we were excited to hear the premiere was taking place here in the city this week,’ explains Master Model Builder, Michelle Thompson. ‘We thought it was only fitting to pay homage to the series by recreating one of the famous locations in Lego!’ This week marks the premiere of Peaky Blinders’ fifth series, which will take place in Birmingham’s Town Hall ahead of the series’ return to BBC One later in the year. The Town Hall premiere location also appears in Legoland Discovery Centre’s Miniland, which showcases a range of the Midlands’ most iconic buildings created from over 1 million Lego bricks, also including the secret canal tunnel network featured on the show. The Peaky Blinders Lego model will be on display in Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham’s Miniland over the coming weeks.
