Thankfully, officers from Wisconsin’s Eau Claire Police Department were able to extract the fawn and return it to its mother waiting in nearby woods. An Eau Claire PD spokesperson explained: “Shortly after 10pm last night (on Monday 20 May) a neighbor in the area of Starr Ave and Bellevue Ave called after hearing a baby deer crying. He and his kids found the fawn in a storm drain. Mamma deer was nearby in the woods.”
