(Exact location withheld to protect birds) He says: What a wonderful sight in late May on a river in Devon and such a delightful scene of this female Goosander with her ducklings resting either on her back or along a branch. I watched this Goosander for nearly 2 hours as the ducklings fed under the bushes overhanging the river banks. Then they all rested on a branch and I was able to capture the scene even if it was only possible by lying in patch of stinging nettles.
