Caption: The U.S. Air Force have released a chilling video Thursday (16 May) showing a B-2 Stealth Bomber dropping two Massive Ordnance Penetrator – or ‘bunker busters”, as they are known. The slow-motion, high-definition video shows two precision-guided, 30,000-pound (14,000 kg) bombs being deployed. The video also shows the devastating effect of the munitions as they hit targets. A bunker buster is a type of bomb that is designed to penetrate hardened targets or targets buried deep underground, such as military bunkers. The Warzone defence website commented: “One has to be suspicious of the timing of the release of this video,—which came with no detailed description—as tensions are ratcheting up between the U.S. and both Iran and North Korea.”
