Headline: Alligator Blocks U.S. Air Force Base

Caption: An invader temporarily grounded a U.S. air base was this week. An alligator was found to be resting directly on the flightline at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, early on Tuesday (14 May) morning. MacDill spokesman 2nd Lt. Brandon Hanner told Tampa Bay Times the alligator is thought to have strayed onto the tarmac from a surrounding body of water. Thankfully, the base’s wildlife manager Kory McLellan oversaw the gator’s removal, by luring it into a loader. MacDill AFB commented: “Your friendly, Team MacDill gator - preparing for take-off. Don't worry, he was safely escorted off the flight line.”
