Headline: TUTANKHAMUN: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh, London, 15th May 2019

Caption: Striking recreations of the Guardian statue from King Tutankhamunís tomb were seen watching over London today, signalling the imminent arrival of the prestigious exhibition TUTANKHAMUN: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh presented by Viking Cruises, with tickets on sale today for the November opening. Spotted outside Buckingham Palace, along The Mall, at Tower Bridge and by Cleopatraís Needle, these unmistakeable Guardians even gave the Queenís guard a run for their money as London prepares to receive the real ancient statue as part of the exhibition, alongside 150+ authentic artefacts from the boy kingís tomb, including sixty that have never left Egypt before. Travelling out of Egypt for the first time, the masterpiece once stood guard at Tutankhamun's burial chamber and became synonymous with the 1922 tomb discovery, and remains one of the most complete and spectacular examples of such objects to have been discovered to this day. The black paint of the statue symbolises the fertility of the Nile and its eternal resurrection, while the gold is a symbol of the sun and flesh of the gods.
