Caption: Photographer Andy Curtis captured these stunning pictures of a deer sticking out its tongue. He encountered the expressive animal in Glen Coe In the Scottish Highlands on 16 March. Andy explains: "I had been hoping to see deer for the whole of my short trip. It was the last day when I finally came across some, so I was ecstatic when I saw them. My first reaction was to switch to my longer lens and immediately start shooting. It was amazing to photograph these animals in this landscape, but as I was looking through my viewfinder and this one deer started sticking its tongue out, I knew I had a one in a million shot. After that perfect photograph, I put my camera way and just enjoyed being in such close proximity. Best part of my trip to Scotland."
